Tree Plantation Program by Shiva Shrestha Foundation Concludes Successfully at Bishankhunarayan Temple

The Shiva Shrestha Foundation successfully organized a meaningful Tree Plantation Program at the sacred Bishankhunarayan Temple with the unifying theme: One Tree for the Nation. The event began around 10:30 AM and brought together people from diverse walks of life to honor nature, culture, and community.

A Green Step Toward a Better Future

Veteran actor and foundation founder Shiva Shrestha led the program, joined by respected figures such as Kiran KC, artists, film industry professionals, local leaders, Nepal Police officers, and temple devotees. The participation of children and community members created a lively and inspiring environment for the green cause.

Field coordinator Sajindra Subedi shared that the foundation planted a total of 60 saplings, including ornamental, flowering, and fruit-bearing varieties—each chosen to contribute to the local ecosystem and beauty of the area.

Support also came from Shyam Bista, Karna Tamang, Krishna Subedi, Ramesh Bista, Rajesh Maharjan, Krishna Khatri, Amir Maharjan, and Bikram KC.

Altogether, around 50 participants joined and contributed to the event’s success.

Celebration with Snacks and Bhajans

Following the plantation, participants gathered to enjoy refreshments and snacks, creating a relaxed and cheerful mood. To end the day on a spiritual and cultural note, live bhajans were performed by Shiva Shrestha, Kiran KC, and other beloved artists, turning the temple courtyard into a space filled with harmony, devotion, and joy.
